DESCRIPTIONAmazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a candidate to help build the training, content, processes, practices and tools needed to support our partner organization around the funding process. This includes working collaboratively with sales, marketing, partners and other key stakeholders to increase sales results and productivity.As a member on the Partner Funding Team you will have the opportunity to dramatically accelerate adoption of AWS by owning the communications and enablement of our team. This role will work closely with AWS product teams, partner development managers, solution architects, professional services, and our sales teams. AWS customers are developing some of the most exciting and innovative new businesses and the Amazon Partner Network (APN) is helping to dramatically accelerate innovation on the AWS Cloud.AWS is seeking a strong program manager, who is a self-starter who enjoys shaping their own role and team. The ideal candidate can help drive broad scale, programmatic efforts that impact global results. The candidate will have demonstrated strong program management and the proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.The ideal candidate is creative, has great communication skills, understands sales and can deliver complex content in simple ways.Core Roles & Responsibilities• Create, manage, and own cross-functional enablement resources and communication for WWPS Partner Funding program stakeholders.• Work closely with WWPS Partner Funding program owners, APN Funding team, and internal stakeholders to identify program knowledge gaps and design and implement resources to drive successful program enablement and engagement.• Proactively collaborate with the commercial APN Funding team particularly APN Funding Enablement to maintain alignment, serve as a voice for the public sector, and leverage their resources with WWPS Partner Funding stakeholders.• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content for enablement resources and critical program communications.• Develop and deliver key messaging to stakeholders regarding regular program guidelines and critical program updates.• Drive awareness of funding requirements and resources through various platforms including team newsletters, wiki, webinars, while also leveraging communication mediums owned by other teams.• Gain a comprehensive knowledge of WWPS Partner Funding programs, APN Funding, Partner Programs, and the AWS public sector business.• Evaluate the impact of enablement resources and propose adjustments to improve effectiveness.Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. Amazon's culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree or similar experience• Public Sector understanding and experience• 5+ years' experience as a program manager• 5+ years' experience working in public sector or supporting public sector customers (e.g., government, education, and nonprofit)• Experience managing communications or enablement functions• Proficient with Excel, Tableau and Salesforce.com• Experience with or creating process improvements• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audience.• Proven ability to partner with a wide variety of senior level individuals including top-level business leaders and customers• Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a high level of energy• Excellent written and verbal communications, as well as influencing skillsPreferred QualificationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Qualifications• Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be beneficial• Self-motivated, action-oriented, multi-tasking individual with a great sense of urgency and follow-through• Strong business acumen, and experience with large, complex organizations during periods of rapid growth and change• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexityAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
