Child & Family Services' VISTAs Strengthen Rural Communities Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan (CFS) is an 80+ year old nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children, youth and, families as they heal and grow. CFS serves over 6,000 individuals annually and offers assistance in more than 20 counties in Michigan. Though behavioral health services, parenting education, foster care and adoption, and services to youth including outreach, shelter, workforce development, and supportive services, CFS supports people in need every day. Thank you for your interest in this good work. CFS VISTAs must commit to serve a one-year, 365-day term serving 40 hours per week. VISTAs may be students or have outside employment, understanding that neither school nor work will conflict with service hours.
